questions you should ask your wedding photographer
Choosing a wedding photographer can seem a daunting task. Ideally you will have a personal recommendation but if you haven't then trying to work out what to ask can be difficult.
That's why we have tried to list here some questions that you really should ask your prospective photographers and also how we would answer them. If you need anymore information then please don't hesitate to get in touch, the easiest way is to click on the booking enquires/comments page
This may seem like a strange question to ask but there are hundreds of individuals who have bought a camera and think they can earn some of your money at the weekend by “having a go” at wedding photography. Do you really want to put the responsibility of recording your most important day to someone who works as a plumber or sells insurance during the week?
Our answer: “Love & Bride Photography are absolutely full time professional wedding photographers. Photography is how we pay our bills. “
What happens if you are ill and can't attend our wedding?
Our answer: We assign two photographers to each wedding so you can be assured if an accident or illness was to occur we would still be able to attend and photograph your wedding. This is a real benefit of choosing an established wedding photography company like ours.
What style of wedding photography do you do?
Our answer: We don't believe in labels, we simply take great pictures of your wedding to tell the story of your day this involves a mixture of traditional and contemporary, photojournalism or reportage.
Why are some photographers more expensive and some cheaper than you?
Our answer: We believe that we offer the best value in the business in terms of service, photography and products. Having said that we realise that others are charging as little as £300 whilst others are cost many thousands. So whats the reasons? Firstly ask what is included and what are extras. With Love & Bride pretty much everything is included with other firms you have to choose from complicated packages which means that the cheapest can end up the most expensive. Ultimately it’s all about you having the best possible photographs of your wedding day, we would urge you to look at other photographers websites and comparing the standard of their images to ours.
When are payments for our wedding photography due?
Our answer: Once you have decided to use our services and established that we are available a £350 deposit is due. This effectively books the day exclusively for your wedding. The remaining amount due is payable 4 weeks prior to the wedding itself.
Our answer: For your convenience payment can be by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.
Where can we come and see examples of your work and discuss your services in person
Our answer: Either you can visit us at our office which is at Crewe Hall in Cheshire (please give us a ring first so that we can make sure the kettle is on) or with absolutely no obligation we would be happy to visit your home at a time suitable for you.
What if I require services not included in the options?
Our answer: Our options are based upon our most requested services. However we are completely flexible, simply e-mail us with your requirements and we will customise a package for you.
Can you show me at least three complete sample albums of weddings that you have done?
Our answer: We always have at least that amount available to view.
How do we know exactly what to expect from you as wedding photographers?
Our answer: Before you spend one penny with us you will receive our wedding agreement, which sets out our obligations to you and indeed yours to us.
How much do you charge for additional prints?
Our answer: Currently additional prints of your wedding can be bought from us for less than £5
What wedding album suppliers do you use?
Our answer: We provide the latest magazine style coffee table album from Graphistudio Italy. These albums are the best quality available and of course samples will be available for viewing. Traditional "matted" albums available on request

What if it rains?
Our answer: We bring studio lighting with us to every event so that if the weather does become too bad to go out we can still carry on shooting indoors. Having said that we also bring cream and blue umbrellas as well so that if you are up to daring the weather well so are we.
What area do you cover? Do you charge travelling expenses

This year we have already shot weddings in Crewe, Cumbria, Altrincham, Wilmslow,Shropshire, Nantwich, Bolton and Liverpool. Do you retouch the photographs? If so do you charge for this service
Our answer: All of the images taken will be subject to the most rigorous checks and where necessary will be adjusted to ensure everyone is seen in the best light. All included in the price.

Our answer: Yes our certificate is available on request.
How soon will the photographs be ready?
Our answer: If you wish some photographs can be shown as a slide show at your reception! Of course the finished images take a little longer but should be available within just a few days.
Can you provide black and white images?
Our answer: Absolutely, we will provide any of the images as either black and white, colour or a mixture of both all included in the price.
If you provide slideshows at the reception is your equipment PAT tested?
Most venues will insist that all electrical equipment used has been PAT tested.
Our answer: Yes, certificates come with us to every event.
Some photographers state that no-one else can take photographs at our wedding.
Our answer: We welcome your friends and family taking pictures, all we would ask is that they respect the fact that you have employed us to capture your special day and when asked let us get on with that job.
What guarantee do you provide?
Our answer: We are so confident that you will love the service and products we provide, we promise if you are not happy in anyway you will get a full refund and no questions asked. Now how many other photographers can say that?
